Let us pamper ourselves today…our bodies are so deserving of mindful care…

Tip #8:  Look good and feel good by pampering yourself today.  Take an hour off just to do something which will bring some positive energy into your life. It can be something for you or something for someone else.  At the same time, pamper your physical body to look good and feel good.

Keep on drinking those 8 glasses of water and at least do 30 minutes of some physical activity today… it could be just  going for a brisk walk.  It is amazing how being more mindful has created a new awareness in me.  By just  eating slowly, I have eaten a lot less this week – I actually lost 2 lbs!  I have actually taken the time to smell and taste the food which I am eating… and the flavours have perked my senses – I can even recall some of the things I have eaten and can still remember how each item tasted.  Drinking water has been amazing… I feel so much better.  Yesterday one of my friends commented that “you looked rested today  – last I saw you  – you were so tired” (back in December)  Just doing those brisk walks revitalizes my soul.  I feel that I am breathing better and just feeling so much better!

And you know what… by taking the time to care for myself… my life has not fallen apart!  There has not been any life catastrophies and the world is still turning…. my kids are still alive, I am still working… life goes on.  In fact, I think I have been more productive this week and have accomplished a whole lot more.  Just writing 10 blogs in a week  has been quite an achievement!!!

Happy Sunday to everyone who has motivated and inspired me this week. Let us keep on the journey of mindfully having those 365 lookgood and feelgood days!  Well.. it is 357 more to go!!!

What can we do today?

  • Cook something delicious for you/your family to enjoy
  • Have a meal together
  • Have a Sunday afternoon nap
  • Have a facial… a manicure… a pedicure
  • Have a bubble bath
  • Do something spontaneous
  • Cook for a friend… go visit someone you have not seen for a while
  • Read a good book
  • Hug your kids, your pet, someone in your life
  • Have tea with someone you love
  • Play with your kid or your pet
  • Dress nicely… even if you are at home…

I will be doing my facial, manicure and pedicure today, go to church, cook a lovely meal at home and simply rest today.  OH… I also have a wonderful family visiting this evening and I will be cooking dinner for all of us and we will end the night playing games.  It all feels so good!
